*LIARS - PART THREE - "GRAB THE MAP"* (Don't worry, banaynay xD There will be more "action" in the next one) "What is it?" asked Kathy, "Can we have a competition on the machines?" I sighed, all the while feeling like Kathy was trying to mess with me. "No," I replied, "I was hoping we could... well, escape this place. I mean, don't you want a real life? Or do you just want to stay in this prison for the remainder of time you have to live?" "You're never going to do it, Hugh." said Alphonse, "It's an empty wish." I growled, staring at Alphonse, "Then you don't want to get out of here?" "That's all I want.." said Verina, "That's all I've ever wanted. Nobody can imagine how much I've wanted to have fresh air in my lungs, to feel the rain on my skin, to feel grass beneath my feet again." Jose patted Verina on the back, "I want to get out of this place, too." I looked at Kathy, waiting for her to say something. "I don't really want to," Kathy shrugged. "It's settled then," I announced, "Jose and Verina and I are escaping. Getting out of this place." A smile grew on my face, I got up, out of the chair, still weak as ever. Jose and Verina followed after me as we made our way to my room. As we entered my room, I took off the sandals that Orsa Flowers had gave me. It felt wonderful for my feet to be free, even if it had only been an hour or less down at the exercise room. In the room, there was a window, and the glass was very strong, very thick, and you could tell just buy touching it. Outside was nothing but a view of the outside facility. "The first thing I think we need is a map," said Verina, "We don't know what's exactly out there, this facility could be in the middle of nowhere or in the center of a city." "I agree," I told her as I walked up to the window, admiring the views. Although it wasn't much, it still reminded me of when I would look out of the windows at hotels whenever my parents took me on vacation. Sometimes we would order pizza, and I would sit by the windows, peering down at the city. The flashing lights of cars going by, the people walking around on the street, so and so. "I could try to get the map," said Jose, "I mean, it can't be that hard." "No, it's okay, I'll get it." I told them, "I'm starting this, and I'm getting you guys out of here. All I need you guys to do is get some very light luggage. Enough to fit in your pocket or so." As soon as I could, I had them leave. The only way I could plan out a way to get the map was to be alone, but it became obvious. If Orsa trusted me enough, if she saw me as her son, her family, she'd naturally feel safe enough to see a map, any map, at least a map of the facility, which wouldn't help us once we got out, but it'd at least help us GET out. I knew now what I had to do, - quality time with Orsa Flowers, here I come... Once I got ahold of her, we went to the workers lounge and played some checkers. "You know how to play checkers, right?" asked Orsa Flowers, "I think so!" I smiled. After letting her win three times, and winning twice, I asked her if there was any food available. She nodded, and later brought me a cheese sandwich. "Thank you," I said upon sight of the sandwich. "You're welcome, sweetie." replied Dr. Orsa Flowers. After taking a bite or two, I looked up at her. "So, is this facility just, you know, out in the middle of nowhere? Or are there towns, cities, civilization out there?" "We're not so far away, we're a couple of miles away from the nearest town." said Orsa. "Oh, ok." I shrugged. "Do you think you could show me a map?" Orsa looked at me suspiciously, "What're you thinking?" "I don't know, I just sorta wanted to know. I'm going to spend the rest of my life in this place, but there's no harm in looking at a map, come on now." I laughed. She nodded, "I see, okay. I'm sure I might have one near here or something..." After a bit of searching, Orsa was able to get a copy of the map and give it to me. I thanked her, left, and went to my room where I put it in a drawer. Verina and Jose showed up later. Verina was wearing a hoodie, and in the large front pockets of it she put in some of her clothes which she folded as small as she could. "Are we ready?" I asked. "Yes." Jose nodded with a smirk. "Let's get ourselves outta here!" Verina exclaimed. *To be continued* *Favorite, Love, Share!*
