*LIARS - PART TWO - "LIES BEHIND A LIFE"* I followed Orsa through some corridors. I felt excited and broken at the same time, I almost thought to myself "I can't wait to show my mother what I've seen!" as she showed me around, but then I remembered what Orsa told me. That was Alister, not me. I was just a shell. A sleeping one, and my whole "life" was just a dream. A lie. A cruel, cold lie. The kind of lie to keep you up at night, to haunt you while you dream, to drive you to insanity knowing that you're nothing. I wasn't wearing any shoes, but it felt nice to have something under my feet. The carpet was soft, like a blanket, or those fuzzy socks they have at the stores, but my feet felt sore. The lights didn't bother me, as they where at a minimum. And the corridors seemed to go on forever, until we reached a point where we turned right, leading us to a place with more doors. "This is where we keep our clones," explained Dr. Orsa Flowers, "You where one of them. Since we do cloning for the police, FBI, government, so and so, the process of cloning requires DNA from the victim, in this case, Alister Resch, and 16 years worth of caring for the developing clone. In a sense, you could say I'm your mother." I blinked, crossing my arms nervously. She continued down the corridor, and I followed her. Past all the rooms with the cloning, there was laboratories and offices. Orsa didn't take me inside, but I could see through windows what was going on inside. "Here is where the scientists work," said Dr. Orsa flowers, "They help with most all of the work put into the cloning process." I nodded, "Okay..." We went back, and explored the left side of the corridor, where there where rooms full of exercise machines, large ones, ones made of metal that where cold to the touch, ones that looked rather sinister and even a few that looked like they where just for fun. "Since you've barely moved a muscle your whole life, you'll be coming here often." Orsa Flowers told me, "There's a food court down that way, however, you're in no position to be introduced to anyone yet, as we have to get you cleaned up and into proper clothes. Not to mention shoes." She whisked me away to a comfortable-looking room with a double-bed that had a memory foam mattress and soft yellow blankets and sheets, and pillows that felt like clouds when I touched them. There was a wardrobe in the walk-in closet that Orsa Flowers was going through, and there was also a door next to the closet that led into the bathroom. The walls of the room where colored brown, and the floors where tiled. At the side of the room opposite to the bed, there was a television, a desk with a chair, and a couch. For some reason, I felt at home here, even though I deeply missed my family. But, that wasn't my family. That was Alister Resch's family. I wondered if I would ever feel the warmth of my mother's hugs again. If I would ever hear the giggles and laughs of my little sister again. I felt cold inside. Broken beyond repair. Like I was gone, yet still there. A ghost. Orsa found an outfit she thought suited me. It was a red T-shirt with a grey-ish blue vest that went down to about my waist, and a pair of jeans, which I was never really fond of. It's not that I dislike jeans, they just are a little uncomfortable for me. Later, she had taken me back to the exercise room. There where several other people there, including a man that looked to be in his early twenties, two young women in their early teens, and a guy that looked to be eighteen or nineteen. "Since this part of the facility focuses around the murders of minors, you'll probably find a few friends in your age group here." Orsa told me before pushing me into the exercising room, when she then left. "Hi.." I said, nervously. All the people in the room(besides myself) where sitting in a circle in folding chairs, so I sat down in the extra one. "Oh, hello." said one of the girls, "I'm Kathy!" Kathy had a strawberry blonde ponytail, a pink T-shirt and shorts. "I'm Verina," said the girl next to her, who had Midnight Brown hair that went down to just below her chin, and blue highlights, "Or, I used to be, anyway." Nodding, I turned to the other boys there. "My name's Jose." said the younger one, "I used to be Sigfried Goldizen but now I'm Jose." "I'm just Alphonse Predi." said the other, "I intend to keep the name." "So, you get to choose your new name?" I asked. "No," said Jose, "It's assigned to you." "Yep!" said one of the workers, flying in. "Alister Resch, your new name is Hugh." "Hugh?" I asked, raising a brow. "Yes, Hugh." repeated the man, "Enjoy... I ought to go back to the office, now.." he said as he left. I didn't like this place. I felt like a prisoner, which I really was. I wanted to leave, to get out of this place, to be free. I wanted to have my own name, not have someone choose it for me. I wanted to do what I want, to live my own life, to be free. But my motivation was lost. I was empty inside and there was nothing nobody could do about it. But I knew the first thing I needed was a window, so I could crawl out and escape. I looked up at the vent, as if I was tiny enough to fit through it. "I have an idea, you guys." I told everyone, "It's a little crazy... but I think you might like it." I smirked. *To Be Continued...* *Comment, Love, Favorite!*
