Double click on something to hack it. Once you're in the hack, the goal is to connect the blue circle to the green one. You do that by clicking on the folders that lead to the green circle, or the "Access Point". If you alert the Firewall, or the red egg guy, click the "Incognito" button. If you want to know how difficult a hack is, click the "Hack Scan" button.
