About the different mediums: Pencil- pros: shading, more specific. cons: colorless Colored pencil- pros:colored, can get cool effects. cons: less shading Oil pastel- pros: wide variety of colors+ textures. Cons: colors can mix and end up looking weird Sumi-e ink and watercolor- Pros: looks super cool + is bigger. Cons: much less controlled, can end up with large blotches.
