Many writers try to avoid having cliché characters, so I present to you the 'Cliché Test.' It will ask you some questions about your character, and give you a score based on how cliché it is. Please do not think that you have to re-write everything if one or more of your characters are cliché! If people still seem to like your idea then you should still go for it. Harry Potter is actually a VERY cliché character, according to this test, but sometimes that's what really appeals to readers, not something different. Many writers are so good, that even with a cliché character their amazing writing skills and plot make the story still amazing. Please don't think that cliché is always bad. I encourage everyone who takes this test to keep writing! Comment a link to your story in the comments, and I'll be happy to review it for you. Cliché is not always a bad thing. :)
