Uses @gtoal's suggestion of connecting the lines Unfortunately, I found that (particularly on the right side) the current method of connecting lines with semi-circles doesn't quite work effectively due to the instantaneous change in gradient from the sine curve to a circle. Fixing this however would require quite a complex algorithm that respects the end gradients of the line and connects them in a realistic way based on that.
