Flame had an older sister named Ember who always outshone him. She did everything best, but was hurting herself in the process, and starving herself so others could have food. Eventually, she slipped into depression. But Flame approached her, helped her see that she didn't have to be best and that she was an amazing cat if she just let go. He overlooked how she had always ignored him, and sought to help his suffering littermate.
