BACKSTORY: When Ying-yang was born, her parents, a kitty-pet and a warrior, had been becoming less and less close. Her father, the kitty-pet named Smoke, Had threatened to kill his mate, Honeyblaze, if she burdened him with another litter. Honeyblaze believed this to be a cruel action on Smoke's part, but truly it was because his owner killed the kits, or sent them away. Honeyblaze couldn't possibly keep them in camp, because she had another mate, Rainstorm, who was already caring for her first litter, and she thought her other kits needed to know their father. Ying was the runt of a litter of 5, Dandelion, Moonshine, Feather and Swirl-snow. After the kits were born, Honeyblaze took them to their father to be taken care of. They got in a huge fight, and Smoke refused to take any of them. Ying's mother took her kits and left for her clan. Rainstorm excepted the kits, thinking they were his own. Honeyblaze got antsy, and finally gave up on taking care of two huge litters at once. She took the kits back to Smoke and told him he had to take them. Then she ran off. Rainstorm accused her of killing the kits. Meanwhile, Smoke felt pressured to leave the kits there. But he wasn't heartless, so he took them into the woods and left them in a burrow. Little did he know it was a fox den. Swirl-snow and Feather were killed instantly, Dandelion and Moonshine Ran away, being the oldest and quickest. Yang, being the smallest and naturally tiny, wasn't noticed. The fox burrow was on a rouges territory, and the rouge found the fox, drove it away, and then found Yang. The rouge attacked her, scraping a large patch of fur from her cheek and blinding her in one eye. Then, the rouge threw Yang out of it's territory, where she was found by Dove. Dove took her to the group, and treated her wound. The fur will eventually grow back, but she will forever be blind in one eye.
