THE TRADERS UPDATE IS NOW COMPLETE! - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - TRADERS UPDATE #1 This version has a massive update! It is now possible to trade with the shop and sell your items!!! Right now all items sell for the same price, but that will change in future updates. I also haven't coded the buying option yet, but just getting the selling option working was a whole lot of effort. See below for the detailed changelog. v0.12.00 changelog: - optimized show/hide scripts of all numbers - shadowcoin numbers now change size & location when trading - added selection marker that snaps to the 3x3 selling grid - used TALK sprite scripts to write selected item name and cost - made buy and sell button costumes (active, inactive) -- buttons do not become inactive yet. - coded sell/buy buttons to respond to mouse touching - coded sell button to respond to mouse clicks and sell selected item - slightly changed inventory bag costume and text (open inventory) - optimized inventory opening scripts and item show/hide functions - optimized item costume switching, resizing, and layering scripts - fixed bug that allowed unlimited pingos to spawn - changed pingo spawn location slightly >>> fixed item resizing bug – apparently Scratch doesn't like to resize the "null" costume. If the costume is empty, Scratch always sets the size to 100%. TRADERS UPDATE #2 The trading system is now complete! You can buy and sell items from the shop. Any items you sell to the shop will be kept in its inventory. Items have different buying and selling prices. Now that trading is fully functional, we need good ideas for new items! Comment below which items you'd like to see in the game! v0.12.5 changelog: - added sound for trading items - fixed bug where buy button also sold items - coded selection marker to snap to the 4x4 buying grid - added 16 extra item clones that are only active during trading - updated inactive button costumes - coded buttons to become inactive if no item is selected, if you don't have enough money, if there are no empty inventory slots available, etc - added item prices (selling will give you 80% of the item price) - added starting items to shop inventory - made it possible to equip shield (no effect yet) - added slight delay to items appearing when opening inventory - attempted to fix bug where equipped items appeared really big - optimized code for destroying items in inventory by pressing "V" (now also possible within trading screen) - fixed bug where skills > 9 shifted position after talking or trading
