You are seeing this from Lilystar's perspective. This is the backstory: It is the night after Lilypool becomes Lilystar, and she is deeply missing Darkstar, the leader before her, who died in the border skrimish with Sunclan. She has just set guards on the entrance to camp, and she is resting in her den.. P.S. In the dream, Darkstar is looking for danger ( so that is why he is looking up ). When it goes black, that means she is waking up.
