Instructions

Space or arrow keys to navigate. Please note that this is all my opinion on how to write a story! There are many other ways, but I am simply sharing the one I like most! Feel free to comment suggestions and additions you would like to see. As I mentioned in the project, I will take them to heart even if I don't reply. Both @-IcyMango- and @rainbow_waves loved this!

Description

Music is 'Hope Has a Place' by Enya. Enjoy! Code, art, and text by me. 12/5/16- Yay! Thanks @-programmer27 for curating this! Advice from other writers: "I try to make my first draft nice instead of just getting my ideas down." - @Rainflower4403 "Usually I listen to music that fits with the part that I'm writing. If there is a chase scene then I listen to epic music and if it is just a part about two characters sitting down and talking I listen to gentle music and so on... I hope this helped. This is something that helps me and if it doesn't help you that's ok." - @derpydog10 "In my opinion, I tend to just get down my rough draft to see if I can follow through with my ideas and wing it." - @SilverBlitz "I like to describe a lot about the main character without explaining to much in the first paragraph in order for the reader to discover more about the characters as they read. I also like to used what I call 4th point of view, you use the character's name a lot instead of they and them like this "Dan and Melody sat down the the dark red beanbag chair, both grabbing books out of their bags" Instead of "They sat down blah blah blah"" - @-ColorMaster- "If you get writer's block, do something. Don't just sit around banging your mind on the keyboard waiting for something good-sounding to show up- trust me, it never happens. Read a book, play a video game as motivation (EX: every time you write a paragraph [4-5 sentances], you can play 1 minigame on a Minecraft server.), draw your characters, go on a walk. It works far better than just waiting." - @Evee_Fan "Something that I like to do is before I go to sleep, I pretend that I am my character thinking about some random thing, then let my mind wander from there. When I do this, my mind takes pieces from my day and puts it into my character's point of view. My mind then wanders through even MORE situations, many find their way into my writing." - @crystalmagic4ever "If you just get a random idea, that may not even have to do anything with what you're working on, don't discard it. Instead, keep a scrapbook for extra ideas, so any time you feel like it you always have a reserve for fresh ideas." - @KaiJayColeZane
