From that day on, 11/11 was celebrated as Armistice Day. At 11:11, near noon, everyone would face east, toward France, a minute of silence, remembering, remembering the lives lost in the tragic dilemma. ~ Nowadays, it is known as Veteran's Day, honouring veterans that have served their lives in every war that the US has participated in- from the Revolutionary War, the birth of the States, to the modern-day Iraqi War. ~ No matter where these brave veterans are, we should honour their great deeds of courage everywhere. They have sacrificed their lives for their country, and no matter wherever you live, that is a remarkable talent- to sacrifice your life for your nation. ~ We owe you.
