For thousands of years, Pikas (Ochotona princeps) thrived at Mount Lassen, but changes to their environment have put them at risk. Pikas are sensitive to environmental changes because they only thrive in cool climate where they can eat clovers. Changes to temperature or clover growth can be devastating. Use this pika simulation to explore how changes, including global climate change can effect the pika population.
Pikas are endangered and highly susceptible to global warming.
