I DID NOT WRITE THE POEM! I just thought it fit my dog, Stryder who passed away recently. I've been missing him lately. One of the reasons why I thought this fit him is because Stryder's foster mom told us this when he died: She said she went to this shelter to pick up a Malamute for the shelter she owns, but then she saw Stryder sitting in the corner of his cage, looking sad. She brought him with her and named him Evan. She hardly had space in her car, but she didn't care. Then she dropped him off at the shelter she owns. (Northern Lights Sled Dog Rescue.) He was in a cage there for a while. He then got Heartworm and they were going to put him down because no one wanted him. Then we saw him and that's were I thought the poem took place. We did treatment and he got to live a brilliant 2 extra years with us. I still feel like he left me much too early, but his spirit will always be in my heart. ♥♥♥Stryder♥♥♥
