This project is a result of a collaboration between Japanese children and adults from many countries. In a workshop held on August 2, 2010, at Aichi Children's Center in Japan, Japanese children of ages 4 to 9 drew the original drawings using finger-brushes, a revision of traditional brush which fits on the tip of one's finger. In another workshop held two weeks later at Scratch@MIT 2010 conference, the participants used finger-brushes to add to the original drawings second drawings to make flip-animations. You can click a sprite to have close look at the drawings. The sprites will dance in response to sounds. The participants in both workshops enjoyed clapping hands together to make the drawings dance. (You need to download the project to try it because the online version doesn't respond to sounds.) In the workshops, the participants also enjoyed getting the animation going by shaking hands with each other. This project does not have the script for the effect of hand-shaking for it requires a sensorboard (registance sensor). This project was designed and created by mudpie446 and haraday.
