Made for a school project on the Transcontinental Railroad. Some facts: • The railroad was 1776 miles long. • It was built by three companies: Union Pacific, Western Pacific, and Central Pacific. • Many of the workers were Chinese or Irish immigrants. • The railroad was completed on May 10th, 1869. • The railroad replaced systems like the Pony Express and wagon trains.
