Instructions

Welcome to Mega Man 2. Population: One Robot Master to defeat so far. Here is the incomplete version of Quick Man's Stage! CONTROLS: Left/Right: Move Z: Jump X: Shoot

Description

WHAT'S HAPPENING? I am in the middle of overhauling this stage to the point that it's exactly like the original NES title. In the meantime, you may now still play this version of the game! CREDITS: (Keep reading for future plans and notes) Sprites from Spriters-Resource. Mega Buster shot sprite in vector by me. Music and SFX from Mega Man 2 and Mega Man 3. Mega Man 2, Mega Man and the character are (C) Capcom. This was created without permission, but without intent to harm or for profit. Capcom retains all rights to the original game, the character and the series as a whole. FUTURE PLANS: Lives system Add dynamic weapons (What do you think I should start with? Metal Blade? Let me know in the comments!) Make the other levels! NOTES: Boy, was this fun to make! I'm sure you want to know how it was done! To get an inside view of this game, click the nifty See Inside button at the top there, but for explanations, look here. Sprite 1 is the current room, and will change accordingly. This is to keep things simple. Sprite 2 is the room transition activator. When Mega Man hits it, it broadcasts information to load the next room. The game will pause, just like the original, and give you a brief scope of the next room before letting Mega Man drop again. Sprites 3 and 4 are the scrolling system. An X scroll variable is activated when Mega Man II enters scroll mode. Then, Sprites 3 and 4 alternate showing up on the left or right depending on their scroll. Scroll Mode only happens twice in this level. There is one sprite for each enemy and obstacle faced. They just clone themselves when the proper room is called. Quick Man, however, is just one sprite. The proper broadcast will be called, and Quick Man will behave either as a boss or an intro screen.
