Birchripple! Hello!" Her tail flicked nervously. "How are you, my dove?" she looked uncomfortable at the term she would usually revel at. "Brishripple, I-" "Moonrose!" Grassclaw called. She looked away. "Sorry, Birchripple, I have to go." She turned and trotted off to the brown tom. I shifted paws. Something was not right. They went off to the clearing, and I followed behind them, keeping my pawsteps light. They sat in the moonlight, and gazed at each other longingly. A cold feeling crept up my spine. "Moonrose, I've been wanting to ask you a question. Something that's been getting me for a long time." "Yes?" she purred "Moonrose, will you.... Be Mine?" She thought. 'No! Please!' I begged silently, 'Don't walk over my heart, Moonrose!' "Yes, Grassclaw, I will be yours. Forever, until I die, or you do, whichever comes first." "BUT I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME!!" I wailed, "HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN TO ME?!"
