credit to @bsmitste story: doc. eggman was trying to make a copy of sonic again after his attempt to make mettle sonic in the end of sonic heroes hes was destroyed by omega so he tried the animals he took a panda and gave him Sonic's power to go at the speed of sound but he ended it to early so that he stile remembered him as "bad guy" so now he and Sonic are friends and he is so much on the opposite side of the doc.
