September 11, 2001. A day that many Americans will never forget. I wasn't alive when this happened, but I've been alive long enough to know just about everything that happened that day. 2,996 people died on that day, and over 6,000 were injured. It all started at 8:46 AM. A hijacked plane crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center, between floors 93 and 99. A huge cloud of smoke comes out of the building. At 8:50 AM, AA Flight 77 is hijacked. 4 minutes later, it turns south over Ohio. At 8:58, Flight 175 heads toward New York City. At 9:03 AM, Flight 175 crashes into the South Tower, between floors 77 and 85. At 9:37, Flight 77 crashes into the Pentagon. At 9:58 AM, the South Tower collapses. At 10:03 AM, AA Flight 93 is crashed just 80 miles SE of Pittsburgh. Many people thought it was supposed to crash into the White House, but it didn't. At 10:28 AM, the North Tower collapses. At 12:16 PM, the U.S. airspace closes. I'm going to stop here because I already feel like crying.
