Posted originally in another account but I feel like this needs some special attention. I'm aware that this is a bit unusual and different from what I usually upload in here, so if you are just here "for the funnies" (like SCS), this right here might not be what you are looking for. [Space to advance on the slides] Now, let's have a talk about ethics. Due to some unfortunate events involving a Christian scratcher having their beliefs denied due to also being LGBTQA+, I decided to make this project in order to promote some positivity for them, and anyone in the same situation. But turns out it happened again. It didn't seem like it stopped. Now, while I'm actually an LGBTQA+ individual and have very strong opinions towards the subject, this is not the point I'm trying to come across; the focus of this project isn't really whether or not you should support us. I believe the keyword in here is mainly respect. Because I get the feeling that people sometimes forget that we are also people. Besides, people from any religion can be gay, trans, bi, etc. Any religion, regardless of what the majority thinks about that. Should anyone really be forced or shunned because of it? Is it right to bully or attack them? Are they hurting anyone? This doesn't really sound so ethical, and I doubt whoever does that would want to be treated the same way. After all, doesn't the Bible say the following? "A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so also you must love one another." (John 13:34) That is right. It tells you to love. Not to invalidate others, not to hate anyone. But to love. And I know, some people will still try to argue that "it's a choice". Why would anyone choose to be bullied or attacked? Besides, I don't believe those people would be able to "turn gay" for some weeks, even if they keep insisting that's how it works. To Christians out there (as well as people from any other religion, please don't think you are forgotten) who are also LGBTQA+: don't let anyone deny your beliefs just because of who you are. You are valid. Your faith is valid. (Also this applies to every single member of the LGBTQA+, even if your flag is not shown in here!!!) Pass this on! Feel free to remix and show your support!! (add your username on the last costume). TL;DR: LGBTQA+ people are valid regardless of their religious faith. Please don't be a jerk to them; Please no hateful or negative comments.
