CONDONE HARASSMENT TOWARDS ANYONE INVOLVED IN THIS CULT (aside from the creators of it, they deserve a ton of backlash), AS A LOT OF PEOPLE IN IT ARE MENTALLY UNWELL, AND THE LAST THING WE WANT IS MORE PEOPLE GETTING HURT (extremely /srs) Let's just say the Forsaken fandom is in shambles. This situation has gotten so bad that the devs had to step in MULTIPLE TIMES to announce that the spawn is complete fiction, it doesn't exist, and that people should not idolize anything related to it in the lore. It really can't be that bad, right? I sure wish it wasn't. Now, what exactly IS spawnism? Spawnism was established across multiple social media sites to be a place to worship spawn, a deity in Forsaken lore based off of the spawn symbol, they also believe in reincarnation and second lives and stuff like that. A lot of the cult practices are also based off of the actions of Two Time, a character in forsaken who sacrificed their romantic other in order to gain a second life, which they regret doing. This part of Forsaken lore clearly highlights why you SHOULDN'T join cults and SHOULDN'T blindly follow beliefs, and it is also mentioned in Forsaken lore that the Spawn was actually not real, and the specter gave two time their second life to keep their faith in Spawn influenced. While some of the Spawnism groups are formed purely for roleplay purposes and doesn't encourage people doing terrible things to themself and others, there were a few ill-minded freaks who clearly idolized twotime a bit too much and created an entire RELIGION centered around it. Mind you, these people are adults influencing minors to commit self-harm by carving the spawn onto various parts of their body, and even praising them for doing so, while not everyone involved are adults, quite a few of them in it are. Not only are they influencing self-harm, but they are also encouraging sacrifices, there have been multiple cases of spawnists killing animals as a "sacrifice to the spawn" and even threatened to kill others. This has also caused multiple people to die as a result from their self-harm injuries. Multiple of these servers require you to hand them over your personal info, and are likely to doxx you when you attempt to leave the group, making sure you stay in it and will never be able to leave. So please, DON'T INTERACT with or JOIN these cults, even as a joke, it can put others, and most of all, you in great risk. take my word.
Feel free to spread this message/add this to other studios, it makes me sick that these people are being manipulated into hurting themselves and others around them and not even being able to realize it because they thought it was just a safe space.
