Ok I will say you have an amazing point and a great on too. But I think overall shipping is so messy and it’s okay to ship characters but sometimes it goes a little too far. Every fandom has some bits of toxicity. No fandom is safe from those few people who want to ruin it for everyone. Now I think you’re allowed to live how you want and that includes shipping. If you really think that two characters belong together then that’s cool. And people shouldn’t hate on ships. But people shouldn’t be making messes up ships either. For example there’s most likely a Belos x Hunter shipper somewhere out there and I think we can all agree that’s pretty messed up. But you’re right the show does exaggerate the importance of respecting everyone, so should we be hating on these things. Maybe you don’t like something but if it’s not actually causing any harm why would you do anything about it. A lot of fandoms have this problem. Especially the mha fandom. They can make really weird and gross ships but ships don’t merit hate. I mean that’s ridiculous. There’s a character in the owl house that was imprisoned because they shipped foods. Does that sound right? Even the person beforehand mentioned that people being su!dal because of a ship is ridiculous. When we’re things like that acceptable. You’d think that fans of Toh would know better than anyone right? But apparently not so yes ScorbunnyCoding is right the reactions to the shipping community is getting out of hand, but in my opinion so is the shipping community. Because sometimes we see ships that are things like All Might and Deku are just weird and kinda wrong. But just because of how canonical something is or not doesn’t change anything. Somebody’s opinions are theirs and that’s ok. We have to understand two things. We don’t always know who’s on the other side of the screen, and if there’s nothing nice to say. There’s nothing to say. And maybe your like well you don’t seem to be saying anything nice right now, we’ll that’s not necessarily true. I’m not saying anything nice or mean. I’m just stating what I believe to be true and asking questions. Questions such as, when did characters suddenly lead to scu!cidal thoughts. And why is that ok? There are a lot of things right now that aren’t right and people should be trying to fix that. But a lot arent. So if you agree or wanna say something yourself, comment or remix. Please I’m willing to listen to arguments and other things because your opinion will be heard but it won’t tear me down. Because I’m not gonna let someone who I don’t know break me. Please though I’d like to have a mature conversation about things like this with people.
ScorbunnyCoding, you are correct in my eyes what’s going on in the shipping community really isn’t correct. I just don’t like shopping communities anymore because they’re so toxic. Thank you for sharing your opinion on the matter. I’m glad I found your project on it.
