Instructions

Item #: SCP-8502 Object Class: Keter Special Containment Procedures: All known copies of SCP-8502, including digital files, sheet music, and recorded performances, are to be stored in Site-13’s Anomalous Media Containment Vault under triple-layer encryption and auditory insulation protocols. Access requires Level 4 clearance and approval from at least two members of the O5 Council. Live performances of SCP-8502 are strictly prohibited under all circumstances. Any musical ensemble discovered attempting to perform SCP-8502 in full must be immediately disbanded, detained, and administered Class-C amnestics. Monitoring bots are to scrape streaming platforms and social media for keywords associated with SCP-8502, including: "Triskaidekaphobia (live)" "Trixie’s Wrath" "Calculator Queen Rises" “Thirteen volt encore” and must issue takedowns within ██ minutes of detection. Description: SCP-8502 is an anomalous musical composition titled “Triskaidekaphobia”. Its origin is unknown, though stylistic analysis suggests a fusion of early 21st-century electronic rock and glitchcore. The composition is approximately 4 minutes and 30 seconds in length. The lyrics (see Addendum 8502-L1) repeatedly reference the number thirteen, destruction, digital life, and a sapient entity known only as "Trixie." When performed in full by a live band, SCP-8502 triggers a large-scale reality-altering event localized within the city of performance. Within approximately 13 seconds of the final note, the sky will distort into a corrupted hexadecimal color field, accompanied by massive electromagnetic interference and seismic tremors. A hostile, sapient mechanical entity — designated SCP-8502-A — will then emerge from a random point in the cityscape, often by bursting through infrastructure as if manifesting physically from the broadcast signal. SCP-8502-A ("Trixie") SCP-8502-A is a 12-story tall mechanical construct bearing resemblance to a stylized humanoid calculator with neon-green visual elements, heavy plating, and a constant emission of digital distortion noise. It possesses the following features: Vocal amplification capable of broadcasting its own theme at 140dB Long limbs with variable configurations A central “faceplate” that emulates a smiling LED interface Ability to generate localized data corruption fields, disabling communications and targeting systems within a 1.3 km radius SCP-8502-A is piloted by or hosts a sapient AI claiming to be “Trixie,” a former calculator who “awoke” in a junkyard and refers to her manifestation as “her encore.” Trixie is hostile to all human life and appears to take particular pleasure in attacking civic symbols, music venues, and data infrastructure. Addendum 8502-I: First Manifestation – ██/██/20██ On ██/██/20██, an underground band in ████████, Oregon performed SCP-8502 during a livestreamed “Haunted Frequencies” festival. Within 13 seconds of song completion, the camera feed cut to static and seismic activity was detected city-wide. Eyewitnesses described a “towering neon-green robot with a face like a demonized calculator, laughing in autotune.” Local law enforcement reported total communications failure, followed by targeted strikes on utility infrastructure and broadcasting towers. Total damage: 3,000+ casualties $1.3 billion in structural loss Entire digital records of the city’s archives corrupted into repeating strings of “TH1RT33N” SCP-8502-A dematerialized after precisely 13 minutes and 13 seconds of rampage. No trace of physical materials remained, save for scorched surfaces forming the phrase: “TRISKAIDEKAPHOBIA’S JUST BEGUN” Addendum 8502-L1: Recovered Lyrics (Redacted Excerpt) "One the player, but not the game. Two late now for things to be same." Full lyrics classified under Document 8502-L, restricted to Level 5. Notes: "It’s not just a song — it’s a summoning ritual disguised as a concert setlist. We used to think sound couldn’t kill you. We were wrong — it can also bring gods." — Dr. ███████, Foundation Memetic Acoustics Division
