I am not sure what to say. I'm surprised, a bit sad (I'll write why), but wow. At the start of this week, Shansu got Oscar, the leader of the forest cluster here with his *entire* group. I'm talking everyone who could walk, they were here, and if they couldn't walk, they were freaking carried here. Oscar and Shansu were a bit close, so I tried to pry them away, but Shansu blurted that she and Oscar were seeing each other for several months now. They, like... have feelings for each other, like me and Tucker. I was extremely shocked and a bit worried that Oscar was manipulating her, but Shansu assured me that they didn't even meet because of Oscar, more of dumb luck. Now I'm imagining Shansu and Oscar in a whimsy romance like when they were Nibu's age. Anyways. After I was 100% certain that Oscar in fact did not stalk Shansu, we got down to business. I told him that I can be half-zombified where I can zombify others but stay sane. Oscar told me that he'd set out patrols that would scout out where the most zombie colonies were and tell me where they were so I could bite them and cure them. I asked how he knew the cure, and he said that Shansu let it slip one night. The next day, I got bit so I could take care of the colonies. We've gotten rid of three so far this week, and we've helped out several survivors out of the city or back to health. We're also healing the former zombies and letting them on their way, too. The reason why I'm sad is because Birch, and now Shansu thought that I was going to judge them for having a partner outside of our group. Number one, Shansu lost her mate seasons ago, and it's only reasonable she'd look for someone else. Two, as long as she's not sharing our weaknesses, at least on purpose, I have no issue with it.

That's basically what Shansu and Oscar are doing. Oscar's group is well aware - Shansu visited a few times - and they all adore her and can and will lay down their lives for her and her kids. Think a group of gremlins that have chosen their leaders.
