Instructions

Welcome to THE POLAR EXPRESS Simulation for scratch! I call this a simulation as of yet because I do not think it can qualify for a game in its current state. (E.G There is no destinations or mini games) Featured while on holiday: Christmas wish come true. Adverts will be erased without warning. -=CONTROLS FOUND IN GAME AT BOTTOM RIGHT=- This is by my accounts, the most accurate replica of the polar express on scratch to date (24/12/2016) Despite my best efforts, everyone needs to keep in mind that i've never attempted a project of this kind before in complexity. Rigorous testing and hours of image comparison has lead me to this result but you may still find bugs and problems... Total Development time: 13 Months, 5 days. (Total time taken until shared - Closest logical approximation.) Note for remixers/coders: Press F to see wheel point rigging (Flag to clear)

Description

Locomotive and building info~ Although the original locomotive from the movie was modeled off the famous 2-8-4 (Berkshire) steam locomotive Pere Marquette, this locomotive was modeled and sketched from a locomotive off a similar design of locomotive which was the 2-8-4 locomotive named "Nickel plate road" Large locomotives like these require careful planning and though which is why I have been discouraged to make it until now as a somewhat special Christmas parting gift, although I do strive for accuracy, there will always be a couple die-hard locomotive fans out there who will indeed spot inaccuracies... Seeing as there are no actual references to the locomotive other than that of pictures from the movie a lot of parts were "Made up" and implemented for atheistic design, but only little details. Despite how much I wanted to try something different for the background of the game I was very pushed for time, Rushing the cabin of the locomotive in a week due to uncontrollable circumstances. FURTHER UPDATE INFO: As far as updates go this game could use a few, intentions are to finish most cabin functions and do some work on the background for realism. As much as I'd like to see this become a full game, we all know that when I say "Possible" in an update, it never really happens, so I'm not going to leave everyone in suspense. If you've managed to read this far, then I can see your clearly interested in this game, or at lest in scrolling to the bottom of the notes section. Anyway, thanks for doing so, and as a reward. Pressing any of the buttons 8, 9 or 0 will play a couple of little quotes, purely for laughs. also numbers 1 to 4 play a few songs. don't press them all at once smarty...
