Criterion for each rating: G: No nudity, violence, sexual content, substance use, distressing content, or profanity is allowed. Examples: Teletubbies Finding Nemo Cocomelon 7+: No substance use, nudity, sexual content, distressing situations(death shown on screen, etc), or profanity is allowed, with the only exceptions being words such as "heck", "shoot", "darn", "shut up", and similar words Examples: The Amazing World of Gumball Teen Titans Go Adventure Time 10+ No substance use, sexual content, or profanity is allowed. Some exceptions may be made, such as adult jokes, or profanity like "crap", etc. Distressing situations, such as on-screen deaths are permitted. Examples: Murder Drones The Simpsons 13+ At this point, some forms of LEGAL substance use (alcohol, smoking, etc.) by those over legal age to use them may be allowed. Sexual content (innuendos, partial nudity, etc.) may be allowed. More swearing, such as "d**n", "@**", "$**t", etc. may be allowed sparingly. You get one f-bomb, and your f-bombs may not refer to the sexual act. Restrictions on violence are more lax, as fights with visible marks are allowed. Examples: Young Sheldon Titanic One Piece (Funimation/Japanese version) 16+ At this point, pretty much anything goes. Violence, sexual content, nudity, substance use, distressing themes, and profanity are allowed. The only exceptions are overuse of slurs, or abberational content. Examples: South Park Family Guy Breaking Bad 18+ A more severe version of 16+. Almost anything goes, except aberrational (Bizarre, usually unwelcome) behavior. Examples: (Not listing) XR: Absolutely anything goes, including aberrational (Bizarre, usually unwelcome) behavior and use of discriminatory language. Examples: (Not listing) UNR: Anything goes. Only used for things such as sports or news programs that cannot be rated before recording due to their circumstances. Examples: NFL Games Restrictions for each category: 13+: Not allowed to air from 6:00 to 15:00. 5 second warning required before the show starts. 16+: Not allowed to air from 4:00 to 19:00 5 second warning required before the program starts, and after commercial breaks. 18+: Not allowed to air from 2:00 to 22:00 5 second warning required before the show starts, and after commercial breaks. XR: Only allowed to air from 0:00 to 1:30 10 second warning required before the show starts, and after commercial breaks. HOW TO WRITE A VERBAL WARNING: This program has been rated [INSERT RATING] due to [INSERT REASONS]. Viewer discretion is advised. No verbal warnings are required for G and UNR rated content
