Unpopular opinion dump/rant no. 1 As an ex-fan, I really don't like Warrior cats, It's genuinely repetitive and the plot is just.. not good, and it dumbs down female characters The Fandom genuinely ticks me off, They will tell you to burn for having a different opinion than them and act like people are insulting them for disliking the series I find it boring, as it reuses the same plot and characters over and over, there is so much internalized misogyny to the point where very visibly cringing can't describe it, considering the people who wrote the series are all women, it was highly unlikely it was intentional but it implies not enough care was put into the plot to push off any masculine bias (Saying this as a transmasc feminist) I used to be a fan of the books because it was popular and most of my irl friends loved it, but after reading the series and really questioning what my true opinion was.. yeah. I respect if you like the series, just please don't talk about the series with me often
