Making this at 11:30pm on a Friday night because this is an issue (Sorry for posting so many rants but this is a problem) People are always saying “oh my trauma doesn’t matter” or “my trauma is nothing compared to yours” on like, idk vents / oc lore. Etc. And I am here to tell you to STOP SAYING THAT RIGHT NOW. Trauma is trauma. Trauma matters. You can look at other’s trauma and you will maybe say “mine isn’t bad enough to be trauma.” It doesn’t have to be “bad” in the sense, trauma is something that makes a lasting impression on your life, trauma is what makes YOU feel bad. Your trauma isn’t going to be the same as anyone else’s. It isn’t going to be worse, and it won’t be better. It doesn’t matter that their trauma is “worse” it’s still trauma. Trauma can be caused by anything. It just has to feel wracking in YOUR LIFE. NO ONE ELSE’S. YOU CANNOT COMPARE YOUR TRAUMA TO SOMEONE ELSE’S. Your trauma is what makes YOU feel horrible. Not anyone else. Never call your trauma “simple” or “not bad” Trauma is bad. Trauma is different. Trauma cannot be compared. That’s it ( I have so much more to say but then you’d be here all night lol . I also repeated a lot of things. Purposeful. Understand. ) Idk why I put this on such a serious project but sneak peak to a story I’m writing about a confused aroace B) “Hey maddy? What is it like to fall in love?” I asked. “Hm… well they make you want to throw up sometimes, they make your heart beat fast, they make you warm, and they make you so nervous!!” She gushed. “Isn’t that just being sick? Feelings of vomiting, irregular heart beat, high temperature, flaring nerves? Sounds sick to me.” “Well, I mean when you put it that way…” “Romance is a disease, Maddy.” We both burst out laughing.
