the galat star navy deploys a whole fleet of crayfish class star dreadnoughts and soupy class star destroyers to neutralize hopefully the whole nexus fleet. blast those nexus scum back to the hellscape of apes they came from!
also yes they are shielded they just function like star wars shields as in you can only see them if something hits them
