Hinto, the Collector Hinto at such a young age, was abandoned by his mother, Aleni. Aleni was struggling, and abandoning her only kit was her option, or be exiled from her pack. She dropped young Hinto near a river and took off. Hinto, who had been sleeping, awoke and found himself wet and covered in dirt. He let out a shrill cry that was not heard. He tried his best to stand up, tumbling into the river. White water rapids splashed and thrust him against the rocks. Something in his body made a cracking sound, and he fainted. Spirits floated nearby, noticing the washed-up kitten. A motherly one picked up the kitten and held him in her arms. She floated casually to the mushroom huts of the lost spirits. Three of them, Kidu, Omri, and Mel, took care of him till adulthood. Before sending him off, they gave him a blanket to keep him warm. Now Hinto roams the forest, collecting lost kits to keep safe, gifting them blankets, and depositing them safely with the spirits.
