Instructions

Created in the year circa 4000 PD, Vitruvia was the first successful multimastral (E.G. more than just human) nation. It was created by the guidance of the Creator Himself, and was appointed by seven tribes for the seven main Master subkinds: the Ferlume, the Arum, the Augusti, the Kallum, the Plumbum, the Wolfram, and the Carbi, or humans. This nation has historically been separated from humanity's ways, although did interact with the human world for a long time. However, hostility between the nations eventually lead to a large-scale war, which destroyed much of the glory of this nation. To protect it from total destruction, the Creator hid the nation in the deep forest, making it near impossible to find save by Vitruvians. The nation has been in relative shambles since that time, with only the capitol city standing (sort of), and the tribes of the Wolfram, the Carbi, and most of the Plumbum gone. However, its people hope for a day where they might live in a world where the Great Stone will win against the evil of the world and set Vitruvia on high. Capitol City: Mastrin, population of approx. 4000 Average Lifespan: 400-500 years (Less for humans, historically more more everyone else). Religion: Most are Orthodox followers of the Vitruvian faith's teachings, but some follow more into the Great Stone's teachings, Who is often hailed as an oracle of the Creator. Recently, though, a few have started to believe the Complete faith, which teaches that the Great Stone IS the Creator. Government: While the country used to have a monachy system, it has now returned to the ancient system of a High Counsel, which is comprised of the members of each tribe and family, with the High Leader as the chairman of the counsel. This system works well with the low population and poor living conditions of the city at the time of writing. Topography: Virtually all of the country is in the deep woods, which can only be traversed by Vitruvians. Though most towns would be more accurately called patches of survivors, Mastrin is in slight better condition. A dome-shaped structure sits where the High Counsel takes session. North of that is where the village is. The building style is simpler than what humans would generally build, and typically are built for protection over comfort. Wet of the Dome is a river, which surrounds much of the city. The River Clean separates the city from the Meadow of the Chief Cornerstone, otherwise known as the Great Stone. No one is allowed to visit this sacred site unless one is called by the Stone. It is taught that you would risk instant death doing so, and is recorded in Vitruvian tradition (Apocryphal, mind you) that Reya'car, or earthquakes, are the result of the Great Stone's anger. Inspiration: Vitruvia is largely inspired by ancient Israel and Jewish teaching. It is also due in a huge part to the science of Geology. Their culture is a combination of biblical truth, Jewish culture, and scientific facts about rocks and reality. The flag: The flag is a depiction of the Great Stone in the Meadow. It has a blue stripe on top, symbolizing freedom and the sky, and a green stripe on the bottom, symbolizing grass and natural wholeness. There is also a white stripe in the middle, for purity. And the six golden dots with the Great Stone make seven points, indicating completeness. Is there anything else I should add? Let me know!
