Instructions

DON'T turn on turbo mode - this seems to actually slow it down a bit. Create colored cubes with the variables at the top left. You can also save your colors in case you need to use the same one in multiple places. A cube below the variables shows the color you have selected. Click this cube to change it to the color your multicolored cube is currently on. Use the arrow keys to move the multicolored cube on a 2-dimensional layer, and use the W and S keys to move it up or down in the 3rd dimension. Press space to leave a copy of the cube, or 'stamp' it. The large cube to the left shows the color of the cube you are stamping. Move your cube away to see what you have just stamped. Press X to delete the cube that your multicolored cube is on top of (it won't have a noticeable effect until you move your cube away). In this program, cubes can be behind each other, so make sure not to lose your cube. Click Clear to delete everything you've made. Use the Layer slider to view different layers of your creation.

Description

Voxels (VOlumetric-piXELS) are basically 3-dimensional pixels, or fixed sized cubes on a fixed sized grid. This project lets you build with these cubes. Clicking the green flag will NOT reset what you've made, your cube's color, or your cube's position. Click the Clear button to do this. BUGS: Cubes ignore your brightness settings. Added in this update: - Smaller cubes, so you can fit more cubes on the screen (23 * 23 * 23) - A Clear button and Clear Colors button - A Layer slider - Color picking - Bug fixes - Faster rendering (not fast enough yet) Future Updates: - Rotating - Moving the entire model - Saving - Faster rendering - Integration with my terrain generator (maybe) - Larger models and scrolling (maybe) - True 3d rendering (maybe)
