Description

HOW TO PUT IN YOUR OWN LEVELS (note that you must need a basic understanding of how scratch works to understand what to do): ____________________________________________ Lets say my level code was the one in the project, aka: "0A 05 01 01 01 03 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 37 37 37 37 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 37 37 37 37 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00" without quotes of course. 1. put the code into some sort of text editor, and remove all the spaces between each of the numbers. 2. remove the FIRST 4 digits of the code, as these are for level width and height, and the level converter uses a different method. 3. are level code should now be this "010101030000000000000037373737000000000000003737373700000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000" to find out are level width, the level editor would say it next to "stage size" with level width being the first number, in the example stage, it's 11. 4. Now to put it into a game, I have linked underneath this project a spot to where you can put the level code. 4a. Combine your level code and level width by first putting down your level code then space key then level width like this "010101030000000000000037373737000000000000003737373700000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 11" 4b. once inside the project go into it and look for the list called "Levels". 4c. copy and paste the combine level code and level width into the selected item of the list you wanted (for example it will be 1). 4d. after that click the green flag and watch the magic happen, you should have your level you made into the project! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- if you need any help converting your RSE code into the project, I am mostly available, but please try the tutorial I made first before you ask! Project to export your level code's into: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1191599405/ ____________________________________________ Notes/Credits: ____________________________________________ (don't worry about object's, since we are using a different system for them). HUGE Credit to @-TagTeam- for the editor! This is probably the best way we can make levels for the game, unless there is a more easier way to make level maps that I don't know about. Made a level? post it in the comments so we can take a look at it for the game! =D For Sonic Catalyst, duh. (I'll probably one day make this 128x128, instead of just being a costume swap, oh well.)
