-Story- Far from Inkwell Isle, in a quieter part of the world, two brothers lived simple lives: Boasto, the older, brash, proud, and always chasing the next thrill. Steady, the younger, calm, clear-minded, and quietly courageous. Though Boasto often acted like the star of the show, he had a soft spot for his little brother. He protected him, and guided him. Steady one-day gave him a gift that meant the world: a pair of sleek glasses. Whenever Boasto wears them, he becomes focused, sharper. As if he remembers who he needs to be, not just who he wants to be. One day, Boasto dragged Steady to a strange building pulsing with unnatural energy. Inside was a godlike figure, ancient, radiant, and far too amused. The entity offered them a deal. Boasto, unable to resist the idea of power, excitement, and proving himself, accepted without a second thought. Now the brothers are bound by soul. The god demands payment, and the cost is cruel: collect the contracts of others who made deals but couldn’t deliver. Boasto swore to protect Steady, but he’s the one who got them into this. Steady stays by his side, not out of obligation, but because he believes in his brother. And maybe… just maybe… they’ll find a way to turn the tables on the god who tricked them. -Boasto’s “Red Shift”- When Steady is knocked out, something breaks in Boasto. His body tenses, his hands tremble, and the cool, cocky grin he usually wears vanishes. His eyes glow a violent red, and his cup begins to crack from the pressure boiling inside. He doesn’t shout. He doesn’t pose. He moves fast, brutal, and mindless. His attacks become erratic but devastating, trading finesse for raw destruction. His shots pulse like heartbeats, and parrying becomes impossible in this state, because Boasto isn’t thinking. He’s hurting. "Don’t you dare touch my brother… I won’t forgive you." When Steady wakes up or calls out to Boasto, the red glow fades. Boasto collapses to his knees, panting, hands shaking, before hugging his little brother tightly, trying to pretend he totally didn’t just lose his mind.
If you look inside the project, you can have access to the vectors of the Cuphead gang made by me! Boasto and Steady have actually been around for a long time, me and my brother, @Jaxongaming1903 made them. I know they literally are Cuphead and Mugman recolors. Scroll further down for their Gameplay ideas! Gameplay/Battle Notes: Boasto's Glasses Mode: During boss fights, Boasto can activate "Focus Mode" by putting on his glasses, slowing down time or boosting damage briefly. Steady's Calm Shot: His attacks are slower but track targets; in co-op, he can parry to reduce Boasto’s overheat or cooldowns. Duo Super: "Soulguard" Boasto throws his glasses to Steady, who catches them, and they both unleash a supercharged beam from their cups/mugs. Gameplay Effects For Boasto's "Red Shift": Super meter rapidly charges. Damage output greatly increases. Boasto takes double damage. Control becomes slippery or jittery. Rage ends when Steady is revived (co-op) or returns to consciousness in a story/cutscene. #AviSan #Jax #Boasto #Cuphead #OC #Art #Steady #Mugman
