Instructions

I need your guy's help in critique. 1: What is the name of your series? A: Unclear for now, but I'm currently going with "The Rock Collection" as a start. 2: What is it about? (Give a synopsis) A: I'm trying to avoid as much to spoil the story as possible, but simply put, the main character is delved from the familiar world of men to the long-forgotten country of the Masters. She meets the Creator of the world as is tasked to help save the world from an evil force. 3: What is it about? (Wrong answers only ;D) A: A few kids decide to collect rocks because they're bored. 4: Who is your protagonist? How old are she? A: Ellen Smith; 15-ish 5: What is your world like? Is it based in a fantasy world, our world, or somewhere in between? A: It's basically an allegory of Christian life, designed to have themes similar to Pilgrim's Progress, the apologetics of The Chronicles of Narnia, and the fantasy elements of Lord of the Rings (kind of). It also has scientific elements, although whether it takes place on our world or not is unclear for now. 6: What genre would you consider your series? (Fantasy, action, adventure, romance, thriller, etc.) A: Adventure, Action, Semi-Fantasy, Semi-Sci-Fi, Apologetic, Emotional, and Comedy. 7: What age group is your intended audience? (Teens, kids, all ages) A: It has no intended age limit, although older kids, teens, and young adults will find it the most interesting, albeit the older you are, the more you'll get out of it. 8: Are you working on your series alone, or is it a multi-person project? A: Aside from alpha- and beta-readers and Bible studiers, just me. 9: What medium is your series? (Comic, novel, animated series, etc.) A: Currently, in book form; But it could also work in movie or even game form, if it is popular enough. 10: Who is your favorite character? A: Holn'kur, the wise Legless Lizard. 11: Who is your least favorite character? A: Hard to say, since I love all of my characters. But if I had to choose, I'd probably go with Eliza of the Arum; She's just a difficult character to figure out. 12: Which character is the most interesting? (Personality, backstory, etc.) A: It should be the main characters, since they undergo the more dynamic of changes and growth. 13: Which character is the most morally correct? A: Obviously the God type character. 14: Which character is the least morally correct? A: Obviously the Devil type character. 15: What is your favorite ship? (Assuming your story includes romance) A: There aren't any big "ships" in this story. There's a land train, though. (Continued)

Description

16: What is the most interesting character dynamic? A: If just one character, Ellen herself; I've designed her to undergo a cubic character arc, which basically goes up a little, then down a lot, ad then slowly goes upwards the rest of the way, modeling a real Christian's walk with God. But if we are referring to intercharacter dynamics, probably Ellen and Isaiah. I'm trying not to spoil anything or give too much away, but let's say the two main characters are a bit different. Ellen sees more "shades of gray", while Isaiah sees in "black and while". 17: How long is your series? Is it a stand-alone book, a trilogy, or a whole multi-installment saga? A: It's not done yet, but I plan to have multiple books. 18: What inspired your series? A: Obviously, John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress, C. S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia, and J. R. R. Tolkien's The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings played a big role in this story. I also enjoyed reading A Wrinkle in Time, which delves into the the logically inferred facts about time and existence, and I sought to delve further with a biblical worldview, and people would say. But the two most important sources, I would say, were my Bible and two books about elements and rocks. 19: What authors (if any) inspired your series? (Plot, themes, genre, characters) A: I've already mentioned a lot previously. One other source was Shara Hinck's The Restorer, which is basically what I wanted for my book series. It helped me to start writing again. 20: Which characters are based off yourself? Are there any experiences you might share? A: Really, ANY character in the book is based off of someone. Or more accurately, anyone can find himself in the book. Personally, I relate with Ellen and Isaiah a lot: Ellen's a person who goes through a lot of challenges and is faced by a lot of opposition on every side. From the Beings of Evil below to hostile humans around to even her own people. As an Apostolic writer, I know what it's like to fight a multifront spiritual war and a spiritual civil war at the same time. Even other Christians sometimes band together against you. But even in that, I find hope in God's Word and His Spirit living inside of me. And Ellen does, too. Isaiah's different then Ellen, but he also shares a lot of my experiences. Like Ellen, he serves the Lord (In His allegory in the story), but unlike Ellen, he grew up with the Truth. However, he also struggle with quite a few things, like being too legalistic, struggling with pride over others, dealing with sinners gracefully, and personal loss. 21: What creatures/species are included in your series? (Humans, animals, anthros, original species) A: Humans, the Hydragyrum, the Ferlume/Fertine, the Arum, the Augusti, the Kallum, the Plumbum, the Hydracarbi, the Arxon, and too many other new species to bother listing. 22: If your series is a comic/animation series, what style would you consider it to be in? (Cartoon, anime, cute, realism, etc.) A: I would only accept either an old American hand- drawn style, or non-CGI live action (E.G. real special effects). 23: Who is the most underrated character? A: How would I know? It's not even out yet! 24: Who is the most overrated character? A: Again, no clue. 25: How many main characters are there? (Protag, sidekicks, etc.) A: Well, there's one main MAIN character, Ellen. Then 3 other main characters, then many, many side characters. 26: How many characters are mentioned in the series? A: Oh, goodness. The better question is, how many characters are there NOT? As I said before, EVERYONE on EARTH is included in the book as someone, so you can expect there to be a LOT characters. 27: Does your series include neurodivergence? (autism, down syndrome, ADHD, etc.) A: mental disorders aren't really explored in what I have written so far. It wasn't planned to add any common ones between character quirks and the work of the Enemy. However, there might be cases of Tourette's Syndrome or something similar. 28: What themes are explored in your series? A: Hope in every circumstance, trust in the Lord, apologetic topics, living in a fallen world, walking the Christian walk, and how to be funny. 29: If your series could become an anime/cartoon, would you take the opportunity? A: It honestly would depend. If Disney called, I would be very skeptical and would ask to be strictly involved in production, and even then maybe not. But if, say, Angel Productions wanted to make it animated, I would be more open to that. 30: Is your series available online? I'd love to see it :> A: I do not. But I can answer any questions you have. Feel free to ask! Just remember, spoilers and all.
