alright i admit i could've done way better but i was feeling really lazy space for closeup thanks for the contest owli! phrase: the frilly, poofy dress she was wearing didn't match her moody personality at all. backstory: this is clementine. she grew up with four older sisters who constantly tried to dress her up as a toddler and has become a total tomboy in self-defense. she had succeeded in avoiding dresses, nail polish, and hair accessories for years until her best friend invited her to her eighth birthday party. clementine unwittingly and enthusiastically agreed, thinking excitedly of her own crazy parties filled with rough-and-tumble outdoor games. but her friend had recently gone through a pink phase, and when clementine arrived at the party, she was dismayed to find that the entire party reflected her friend's recent obsession. the banners were pink. the paper dishes were pink. the streamers were pink. the balloons were pink. everything was pink! being surrounded by such a color put clementine into a funk. but even worse were the games- well, if you could call them that. the first one consisted of dressing up dolls. clementine's mood worsened. the second game was hopscotch, which they refused to play correctly as far as clementine was concerned. clementine was positively grouchy. the third one was- and here came the worst of all- dressup. before she knew what was happening, clementine found she had a pink, poofy dress on over her shirt and shorts, a pink headband with a pink flower, and mary janes on her feet. (this is where we see her.) fury blazing in her eyes, she ripped off the dress and ran home, hiding in a tree. she refused to come down until dinnertime. when she finally joined her bemused family, she announced that she was no longer friends with amelia bordelis. (don't worry, amelia never really wanted to be friends with clementine anyway.) yes she is named after an orange and she's sick of you mentioning it music is shooting star by owl city (normally i would delete the music but this is one of my favorite songs ever so) like i said this is //not// my best work i also wasn't trying too hard to be proportional it still took a fair amount of time though
