PROJOGE Once upon a time in a faraway kingdom…a war ragged. Two forces clashed… metal against metal… The metallic tang of blood filled the air as the wounded were carried to the sidelines. Kingdoms, Arlon, and Morden fought. King Ryen of Arlon fought in the front lines, his sword clashing against the invading enemy, his grand castle lay in the distance, there, his wife, Queen Alana paced anxiously glancing out the window watching the raging battle. The sun had not yet risen, but its light painted the sky a bloody red. ‘Lord, protect my kingdom’ she silently prayed. There have been wars in the past…but never had they been as fierce. A little boy sat on the rug playing with a wooden horse, unaware of the battle his father fights. The war raged for over two days…then, it was won by Arlon, but the king was missing. The queen searched the wounded for her husband…but found…nothing

Description

CHAPTER ONE: (seven years later) Alexander the 2nd was standing in the crows nest watching the sea around the ‘Thalassa.’ Blue dolphins jumped beside the mighty ship keeping pace, he saw large whale spurts off in the distance to the left. Land was to the right. “ALEX!!! GET DOWN HERE!!” A voice yelled from below at the young prince. Alex rolled his eyes, 'Can't I ever get two minutes of peace?’ . As he climbed down the rat lines he saw who had called him, Christopher, his over-protective body guard. They have known each other for almost all his life, and he was like a father to Alex. “I wasn't going to fall you know Christopher” “And how do you know that? There could have been a strong gust of wind” Alex huffed, sometimes being a prince isn't as wonderful as people think. Christopher has been very watchful of Alex ever since his father went missing seven years earlier, in the battle of the kingdoms Arlon and Mordren. “We shall reach the lands of Arlon in four nights, sier.” a crewman said, bowing to Alexander. “Indeed we shall if the weather is well” Christopher added. Alex felt something…or someone, watching him. He looked around at the crew as they did their orders…then out of the corner of his eye he saw someone in all black slip behind a door, he glanced at Chrisopher, he was still discussing the weather with the crewman. Alex followed the figure, inside, the door led to a holding space for cargo, and it was full of barrels. The door closed behind him making the room pitch black. “Who may I ask is there?” “If you really had any brian, you would know that I wouldn't just say who I am.” A female voice said from somewhere in the room. “I am the prince of Arlon, heir to the throne. Therefore I could have you arrested for invading my ship.” “I am well aware of that, but in order to arrest me you have to catch me first.” A match lit showing a face, the figure was wearing a black mask and a black cloak, but striking blue eyes stared at him. “And I doubt you can,” she added. As Alex tried to make out more of the person sitting on the barrels he estimated her to be fourteen-sixteen, she had dark black hair and she was sitting casually on the top of a barrel pile. “Until next time Alex” the girl blew out the match just as Christopher opened the door. “Alex! What are you doing here?” Christopher urged Alexander out of the storage hold, and out into the bright deck. “LAND HO!” One of the crew members yelled. They were going to the land of Zinnia, a loyal ally of Airon. They were making a supple stop there. They lowered three row boats into the water. Four Crewmen (including Alex and Christopher) got in the boats and rowed to shore. “Bonjour!” A dock man yelled as they approached, “The King has requested to see you Monsieur” he said to Alex. “Is something wrong?” He replied. “If you think about it, everything is wrong in its own way. But do not worry he only wants to discuss matters about Mordren"
