SENSITIVE CONTENT ------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the bloody battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa in attempt to invade Japan with U.S. Forces, Japan still strongly refused to surrender. As a full-on invasion of the island would be costly, the United States decided to use it's last resort: the atomic bomb. On August 6th, 1945, the U.S. sent a B-29 Superfortress plane named Enola Gay to drop Little Boy, the newly built atomic bomb, upon the Japanese city of Hiroshima.
