Across the United States and around the world, adults and kids are raising their voices against racism and police violence. The Scratch Team stands with these protestors. Black Lives Matter. No one deserves to grow up in a society that harms you, silences you, or prevents you from reaching your full potential because of the color of your skin. The Scratch Community constantly inspires us with how much love, creativity, and care go into the creation of Scratch projects and conversations with others. We have already seen many Scratchers showing their support of the Black Lives Matter movement with animations, poems, MAPs, studios, comments, and so much more. We are so proud to see you using your voice, your creativity, and your passion to spread awareness and demand change! We want to reassure you that these types of projects, studios, and comments are welcome on Scratch. Scratch welcomes people of all ages, races, ethnicities, religions, abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities, and we say this clearly in our Community Guidelines. We can all make a difference by standing up for and alongside each other. Black lives matter! <3 ---- Music: "Black Lives Matter" by Igor Hoffman
Never should a person's worth be measured by the color of their skin. Racism is a stain on humanity’s conscience, dividing people who are inherently equal. Ignorance fuels prejudice, and it’s often passed from generation to generation. Breaking the cycle requires education, empathy, and honest conversations. Grave injustice arises when racism is allowed to persist, undermining human dignity and equality. Generations have suffered due to systemic inequality and hatred. From slavery to segregation to modern discrimination, the pain is ongoing and real. Every individual deserves dignity, respect, and equal opportunity, regardless of race, ethnicity, or background. Equality is not a privilege — it is a right. Racism not only harms its victims but also corrodes the soul of the society that tolerates it. A just world is one where diversity is celebrated, not feared. ----------------------------- I can't express all emotions that I have when I think about this problem. That's all. its just a prank bro
