Press [X] to skip to the Letter so, when does Colson turn 3D at times? it's usually when he experiences emotions or feelings at a high intensity, or when he's able to control himself enough to the point where he has the upper hand. the surroundings don't just become 3D though - anyone else within Colson's vicinity will also become 3D. plus, all entities within this vicinity will get a boost of power. also the reason why his entry isn't from falling out of Beatsy's deteriorated home realm is because it'd be weird since if i used an alternative timeline of the Wavelength Realm
colson and beatsy are owned by me (same goes for both of their 3D renders) and yes, Colson's way of entry is a reference to DDE, where both Dave and Boyfriend fall into a portal at the end of the song Format (minus Beatsy actually coming with him, but maybe Beatsy could make small indirect cameos?)
