It was designed to entirely remove the idea of SCP-6820-A from the human collective consciousness, allowing SCP-682 to be killable. While initially successful in removing SCP-682 from history, SCP-6820-A was not fully erased. As SCP-6820 kept the information about it in its memory, which is stored outside of the human collective consciousness, SCP-6820-A persisted and started corrupting SCP-6820.
