I woke.It was dark and cold.I raised my head slowly. No one was near.I got up and took in my surroundings,although there wasn’t much to take in.It was just walls of hard cold stone surrounding me.I looked for an opening,thinking I was trapped but a cat somehow created an entrance.She gasped and stepped back.I backed up a few steps. “Hey,it's okay.”I meowed.The she-cat came forward a few steps. “What’s your name?”I asked. “Snowangel.”She said quietly. “Hi Snowangel.I’m Jayflight.” Snowangel laughed. “Jayflight?But he’s a myth!” I lowered my gaze. “I thought you’d say that.” She looked at me. “But Jayflight was alive before our elders were even born!So he’s probably dead.” “What makes you say that?”I looked at her and she met my gaze confidently. “You’re not Jayflight.”Snowangel turned. “There,you can leave now.” I took a step forward and called. “You might know me as Ivywing.” “Yes,”Snowangel breathed. “But Ivywing had a curse.” Snowangel turned her head to look back at me. “Everyone around her died.” As Snowangel walked towards the entrance to the cave,one thought went through my mind. How much does she know?
