Chapter two ✉ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Lucy! Have you got all your supplies?!" Hermione called from downstairs. I looked over at all the school supplies I had bought yesterday at Diagon Alley. "YES!" I lied, stuffing all the books into my bag. Ruby, my new pet cat, strolled past me, brushing soft fur against my legs. I laughed and picked her up. If we were going to Hogwarts together, I wasn't going to let her cause mischief. My trunk was too heavy to carry so I dragged it down the stairs. Hermione peeped in just in time to see me and my trunk fall down the stairs. "You've got rocks in you bag, Lucy?" she laughed, heaving my suitcase onto the couch "breakfast in the kitchen, do the washing and get here immediately" As fun as Hermione could be, she was also a bossy sister. I wouldn't get to see Hermione so much because of her being in 3rd year and all but I knew she would be there for me when I needed her. "Lucy, Lucy?" Mom was hurrying over with a box. "This is for you, use it at Hogwarts, okay?" She handed me a box with a light brown, flowery, soft design. I nodded, but I knew I wouldn't wait until then to open it. I slipped the box into my bag and sat down at the table. The eggs and toast breakfast was sitting on my plate, looking at me. Despite not being hungry at all, I gobbled it up. "Lu! Hurry up!" Dad called from the door. I leapt off my chair. "I forgot someone important!" Hermione shook her head as I dashed up the stairs at lightning speed, but I couldn't forget whom I most needed...
