I created this project as part of my application for the Scratch Mentor Program, a pilot program within the new Scratch Youth Leadership Lab! https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/825954/ I discovered Scratch in elementary school, and it quickly became one of my favorite ways to be creative and learn coding. Now, as a rising senior who’s considering majoring in computer science, I wanted to give back to the community that helped me grow! This project is my way of welcoming new scratchers, sharing tips, and encouraging you to explore, create, and have fun! My leadership experience on Scratch: ★ Front Page Curator #484 (2021) ★ Host of 9 complete multi-animator projects (2021-present) https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/34461028/ ★ Host of the Animation Nation studio (2023-present) ★ Curator of Scratchtober (2021), Activity Swap (2022), Black History Month (2022, 2023) ✃ — — — — What is Scratch? Scratch is a beginner-friendly platform where you can create games, animations, and interactive stories by snapping together blocks of code. It’s pretty easy to use and a good first introduction to those who may be interested in learning more about computer science. Plus, there’s a whole community where people share projects and get creative. My favorite thing about Scratch is how creative and community-driven it is. I’ve hosted several MAPs (multi-animator projects), and it’s so fun seeing different animators work together to create an awesome, cohesive product. ✃ — — — — Credits: Art / Animation / Code - @Alpha_Wolf_Coder Music - @-Xaf- Drawn using Scratch Bitmap Screenshots are from Scratch ✃ — — — — 7/9/2025 | #7 on trending | Thank you! 6/22/2025 | "What the Community is Loving" | Thanks so much!
