Her sister made sure to play games with her every day after work to make up for it. One day, Revere found her sibling sobbing at the kitchen table. Revere did not know why. The next day, they were out on the streets, without a place to call home. Revere and her sister continued to wander, going to store after store, never walking out empty-handed. One day, Revere returned from her trip to buy a new notebook for her seventeenth birthday. She found a note printed in neat, loopy cursive, alongside a small string of square-shaped beads on the little wooden table beside her bedroom door.
