Instructions

This DVD features three episodes: My Shrinking Shoes, The Rolie Polie, and I Want Cake!. On this DVD, the The Rolie Polie uses a rare early version of the funding credits (something I'm really into) for Season 1. This version is said to be used on early 2008 prints of the first several episodes of the show and was rarely, if ever seen on PBS Kids. It was seen on a rare 2008 or 2009 DVD print of the Sid the Science Kid season 1 episode "The Rolie Polie" (This menu shown is from that exact DVD) There are a few differences from the TV funding credits seen: 1. Sid looks upwards at his magnifying glass, instead of at the viewer like in most TV airings of the funding credits, as well as the theme song. 2. The RoseHills Foundation logo (which was in its form from before "I Want Cake") was smaller than on TV, and took longer to roll in. 3. They most notable difference is that The Arthur Vining Davis Foundations was absent in this version. - This is the only funding credits session of which The Arthur Vining Davis Foundations is absent. - This makes The RoseHills Foundation the only sponsor other than Viewers Like You/Thank You to be featured in every Sid the Science Kid funding credits session, as well as the most used sponsor for Sid the Science Kid. - The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, MetLife Foundation, The S. D. Bechtel, Jr. Foundation, and The John W. Carson Foundation were only used in Season 2 and the movie, not in Season 1. - The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and A.P.T.R. were only used in "Getting a Shot: You Can Do It!". - No corporate sponsors were used in every funding credits session. First 5 California was not used in June 21, 2010 – December 27, 2013 prints of Season 2. Vinci was only used in November 16, 2012 – December 27, 2013 rerun prints of both seasons. None of the three corporate sponsors were used in the movie
