Her mother gave Zephyra to another dragon, Firestorm. Firestorm and Zephyra lived in the mountains, far, far away from everyone else - probably the reason why she's unsocial. One day, Firestorm told Zephyra about her mother and about the dragons' home: Tarakona. Zephyra wanted to find Tarakona and her mother, so she flew away from the mountains, even though Firestorm had said not to ever leave. Once she got to Tarakona, she thought that it was an amazing place. Everyone seemed to be happy. As soon as Zephyra entered the city a guard slashed open her wing slightly, which was what they called a 'mark'. Anyone without a 'mark' that was a different species of dragon from Zephyra's that tried to enter the city was killed immediately. Zephyra was given a job, like all the other dragons in Tarakona. Since she was a young dragon, she was given the job of an assistant. Zephyra started to get annoyed and angry when the dragon who she was assisting told her what to do everyday. She wanted to get out of Tarakona City, but couldn't leave until she was fully-grown. So she spent the next few years in the city. One night, though, Firestorm, who was an immense fire dragon without a 'mark', flew into the city to try to get Zephyra out of there. He fought the guards, who were much smaller than him, but he was eventually tied up with chains and fell to the ground. The guards killed him, and Zephyra flew out of the city while she had the chance. She went back to the mountains and has been living there ever since.
