cup is the little red dude sleeping in the center. in my projects, cup often gets isekai’d, woken up, or just have something weird happen to them. i don’t know why i do this, but to add lore, it’s because they have weird luck. i’m bad at drawing backdrops, which is why i usually use the default ones or make poorly made ones, and that’s also why cup is chilling in the blank backdrop. i made it canon that this area is called “backdrop1” and then name every other backdrop that appears. backdrop1 is connected to Doodletown, where cup and their friends (will get onto that) live, however its hard to get to. cup has friends. woah really?! anyways the other two are cat and grey. their sprites are in the project, press See inside. these characters were made in a random comic that i made in one of those “blank comic template” books. im not posting it because its very cringy and old, but the main reason why grey is grey was so i could identify who was cup and who was grey in the comic (it was drawn entirely in pencil). cat has that little bandage (yes, that is NOT a mouth) from the plot line of the comic too. that’s also why grey has a face bandage over his missing right eye. in my previous animation, cat breaks into backdrop1 and exclaims that she found out how to get to backdrop1. i am not going to explain this as the lore of Doodletown is still unknown, even i get confused by it sometimes. but it is connected to the original comic i made. now what does cup do in between these projects? mainly chillax with grey and cat in Doodletown, but also going to backdrop1 to sleep. cup is technically unemployed so they live in the rent-free backdrop1. cat does not mind that cup lives off of cat’s refrigerator, in fact she thinks its fine as long as cup doesn’t live with her. grey works as a cashier at an ice cream shop. cup has a cousin named mug, who is the inverted version of cup. no i don’t mean in personalities, i mean that their color palette is literally inverted. check the sprites. mug and cup mingle together often alongside cat and grey, and they’re all friends. if cup and mug are cousins, do all of the characters have parents and other relations? well yes, but they’re irrelevant as like i said, everything was created from a comic and i didn’t think that far ahead when making it. why don’t they have arms??? design choice. however there is lore to that but i will not reveal that yet. since i did mention that they all live in Doodletown, i should mention that there are other characters that live there. they’re all called Doodles, and their currency is Toddles (which has the same value as JP yen because why not.) when other characters appear in your animations, do they also live in Doodletown? yes, they do, unless they’re from another world (e.g. the candy world animation) or a ripoff of a media character (e.g. Spamtom from an unshared project that i will never finish.) what are their personalities? cup is known as “the silly one” since their personality is just a reflection of me, cat is known as “the enthusiastic one” because she’s so upbeat. grey is known as “the sensible one” because he’s the only one that realizes whenever something is dangerous. for example, one time cat and cup tried to build and fly their own plane, and grey had to stop them. this event was never made in a project or animation, but still exists in my math textbook. grey, cup, and cat all have each other’s backs. mug is sorta in between since they’re more of a side character but are still relevant. they are all able to teleport (will explain in a later lore drop) and know when a friend is in trouble. so yeah, best buds. thats all, time to disappear for another 39 years
