Hans Körner continued his response by asking, "What's next? AfU claims leadership over Umbra? Venezia turns fascist? Aion becomes an absolute monarchy?" Many Alpine citizens actively oppose the Military Junta in Andover due to cultural ties to federalism and direct democracy that are so ingrained into the Alpine psyche. The Alpine Federal Council and Federal Assembly have approved the use of sanctions against Andover until democracy can be restored, which is in accordance with WNSEZ's actions against Andover.
